Except for public domain material and electronic messages, all materials on BlankTV are protected by Federal copyright and are protected under treaty provisions and worldwide copyright laws.   1. LIMITED LICENSE

Blank Nation provides the materials on this site for the personal, non-commercial use by viewers, fans, visitors, subscribers and/or potential subscribers to BlankTV. Users of the BlankTV player are granted a single copy license to download (on a single computer only) any of the information made available for downloading found on this site for personal, non-commercial use only. Blank Nation reserves the right to limit the amount of materials downloaded. Commercial use of BlankTV, or any material located on it, is strictly prohibited. In addition, users of BlankTV may not: (i) modify any of the materials found in any area of BlankTV; (ii) use any of the materials found in any area of BlankTV for any public display, performance, sale or rental; (iii) remove, modify or alter any copyright or other proprietary notice, or trademarks from any of the materials found in any area of BlankTV; or (iv) otherwise transfer any material located in any area of BlankTV to any other person or! entity.   1. PRIVACY POLICY

What kind of information do you collect?

When you join the membership portion of our web site, you are asked to provide your name, address, e-mail, username and password, credit card number and expiration date, and birth date. When you participate in special events such as contests and polls, you may be asked to provide your name, e-mail, username and password, and birth date. When users request pages from our server, our Web server automatically collects some information about the users, including their IP addresses. We also collect information regarding your use of our site through the use of cookies. If you choose to post messages on a bulletin board on our site, we will maintain on the bulletin board such information about you as you choose to disclose. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. We will maintain a record or notes of communications with you regarding your account.

Who do you share my information with?

We do not, and will not, distribute, rent or sell any personally identifiable information to third parties without your express consent, other than as necessary to process your credit card payment.(1)

How will my information be used?

We use you information solely in order to process your credit card payment, to facilitate your viewing of our web site and to communicate with you. We also use this information to compile broad demographic and web site usage information about our users in general that does not contain anything that could be used to identify you personally.

Blank Nation uses your e-mail address to send periodic e-mail newsletters and promotional e-mail to you about services and products offered by us, if such communication has been requested by you. You understand that by using the Message Boards, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive or otherwise objectionable to you. You agree that you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any Content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content. You acknowledge that you may not rely on any Content posted or delivered to you from third parties via the Message Boards. Under no circumstances will Blank Nation be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, for any errors or omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, e-mailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via the Message Boards.

You agree to not use the BlankTV Message Boards to:

  1. upload, post, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
  2. involve or harm minors in any way;
  3. impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, Eddie Sunset, a BlankTV employee or agent, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
  4. upload, post, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available any unauthorized advertising, links of any kind to commercial destinations or for any direct or indirect commercial purpose, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation;
  5. forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any Content transmitted through the Message Boards;
  6. upload, post, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);

Blank Nation does not claim ownership of Content you submit or make available for inclusion on the Service. You acknowledge that Blank Nation does not pre-screen any words, information, data, images, or any other materials (“Content”) posted to BlankTV Message Boards, but that Blank Nation and its designees shall have the right (but not the obligation) in their sole discretion to refuse or to remove any Content that is available via the Message Boards for any reason within their discretion. Without limiting the foregoing, Blank Nation and its designees shall have the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms And Conditions or is otherwise objectionable.

You acknowledge and agree that Blank Nation may disclose any and all related information regarding Content posted on the Message Boards if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) enforce these Terms And Conditions; (c) respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third-parties; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BlankTV, its users and the public.

  5. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright or intellectual property owner.

  1. SUBMISSION OF MATERIALS

By submitting your video content to Blank Nation, you are representing to Blank Nation that you are the legal copyright holder, a registered agent of said copyright holder or an official licensee of the content and that you are permitted to grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, monetize, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform this material, in a secure digital format on any of the Blank Nation media platforms, including, but not limited to: BlankTV.com, DankTV.com, KrankTV.com, HankTV.com, SkankTV.com, TranqTV.com, ChannelSkin.com, as well as standalone channels such as BlankTV’s YouTube channel, BlankTV’s Google Music channel, BlankTV’s Facebook channel, BlankTV’s Roku channel and any future platforms, such as mobile, satellite television or any non-yet-developed technology.

You further agree that you will not submit material that is protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material and to grant Blank Nation all of the license rights granted herein.

In terms of monetization, Blank Nation is operating on the traditional FM Radio/MTV model: You supply the content. We aggregate the content, as well as our own audience, (600,000 viewers and counting!). We will show the content for free to viewers, while selling ad space around the content. That ad revenue is what keeps the whole operation afloat. By submitting content, you are waiving your claim to that ad revenue, as it’s the only revenue we have. (For any inquiries on that end, especially MFN status/Rev Share, please contact sunset@blanktv.com. YouTube doesn’t currently offer an easy way to do this, but may in the near future, as we understand it).

You do maintain all ownership rights to any material submitted to Blank Nation.

For our part, Blank Nation promises to do our best to get your content viewed by as many people as possible. We will make sure all content is credited to the copyright holder. We will add hotlinks to both band and record label websites, where possible. We will provide links to artist pages on iTunes, Interpunk and other online retailers, to promote merch and music sales for the artist, as well as any social media sites.

If you currently use any of the myriad Digital Rights Management companies, (InGrooves, The Orchard, Tunecore, etc.), please contact your representative and let them know you’re submitting content to BlankTV and that you would like them to whitelist the video. They may require the video URL, which will be sent to you on publication.

Our preferred format is online digital. If that is not an option, please send the highest resolution file you have, on DVD. If mini-DV (NTSC) is the only format you have, send it along and we’ll make it happen. If you are overseas or just in a hurry, please send your high-res files to vids@blanktv.com through a free file-sharing service, like Dropbox.com or WeTransfer.com, etc.

As new media technology gets better, we find better video codecs to work with and alternate outlets for showing your videos that may have different specs than our current platform. Please direct any questions to our content management department, at vids@blanktv.com.

If at any point, and for any reason, you would like your content removed from the Blank Nation web properties, please notify us in writing by sending your request to our content management department, at: vids@blanktv.com. The material will be removed from the sites as quickly as possible, in most cases within twenty-four hours.
