About The Video: Metal’s favorite senior frontwoman, GRINDMOTHER, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for an upcoming documentary.

The 68 year-old and her son, Rain Forest, plan to raise 12K CAD by June 26 in order to bring a film crew on their next tour. The startup funds will also go toward equipment and the hiring of an editor who will make the final cut of the film.
(UPDATE: Funding has reach 13% as of Day 7 and Kickstarter has featured the campaign under “Projects We Love”.)

Grindmother is a 68-year-old grandmother who became the lead singer in her son’s heavy metal band. After accidentally stumbling into the rock n roll lifestyle, she’s captivated the world with her incredible story.
Grindmother released her debut album, Age of Destruction, last year and has since toured to over 25 cities in 4 countries, inspiring fans of all ages.
We need to raise 12K CAD in order to make an AMAZING documentary. The funds will bring a camera crew on tour, and hire an editor.
Fans will get to experience the story as it unfolds, learning about Grindmother’s life and why she is so passionate about singing in a metal band.
We’ll also meet fans, some of whose own journeys have been personally inspired by Grindmother.
But we must hit 100% of our goal by June 26 or the project fails, and Grindmother will be disappointed!
