Casas Y La Pistola
Casas and La Pistola are back. Two years after the release of their third album, ‘Memories of an Invisible Pistol’ (2016), celebrated by the critics, and with their name shortened to a more manageable format, the Sevillian band unveiled “Padrino Buffalo 1”, the first of three EPs that will be appearing throughout 2018 and 2019.
Composed during the summer of 2017 in the band’s own studios, and mixed between February and March with the help of Fernand Zambruno, the five songs that make up this first album share an obsession with making people dance. An obsession that has led Casas and La Pistola to abandon their usual sixties manners in order to embrace a neat and muscular dance-punk, in which the melodies continue to shine with a new wave aftertaste and the sound looks sideways at the post-punk eighties.
