The Beat Seekers brand of rock n’ roll is a combination of angst driven lyrics, hooky songwriting, and kick you in the teeth riffy goodness that bridges the gap between old school punk rock and power pop with a hint of thrash, r&b, and glam. The Beat Seekers sound like a lot of things but like nothing else all at the same time. With influences ranging from British invasion bands such as The Kinks, The Who, and The Beatles to riff rockers like Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, and early Metallica yet also bearing similarities to bands like The Ramones, The Replacements, The Stooges, Damned, and many more, The Beat Seekers are a force to be reckoned with coming from a place that is honest, from the gut, and unapologetically rock n’ roll in an era where most rock acts are playing the same watered down formulated dribble.
Formed in 2009, The Beat Seekers have been plagued with adversity but that hasn’t stopped Keith Fertwagner from pumping out good music, even if it hasn’t reached the audience it deserves. With the lineup now complete, the force is unstoppable. The full-on on intensity that bassist Earl Skow and drummer A.J. Bishop put out combined with the laid back cool of guitarist Brennan Moran are the perfect compliment to Keith’s heartfelt delivery and kinetic energy that seems to win over any crowd that they play in front of.
In these troubled times The Beat Seekers provide a soundtrack to our lives with politically driven songs that speak our truth and our desperate need for change.
