By Conquest Or Consent is an uncompromising musical vision years in the making. Lost days of youthful pining for success have taught us that the music is all that matters. Each day brings another possibility to strengthen our distinctive rendition of metal.
A desire to craft aggressive yet technical music has culminated in songs that seamlessly blend elements of thrash and modern progressive metal for a mind-bending assault on the senses.
By Conquest Or Consent first emerged in 2012 and we have since refined the line-up to forge a brotherhood of five like-minded musicians who live to enthrall a crowd.
After recording debut album ‘Empires’ with Studio 6 producer Stu McKay in 2012, By Conquest Or Consent secured a coveted slot for a Techfest show in London during March 2013. A debut music video then came with the release of ‘Three’ later in 2013.
By Conquest Or Consent’s uncompromising philosophy has continued to demand attention, with the band playing numerous shows throughout Ireland. A sold-out hometown show with metal legends Anthrax in July 2014 was a life-changing moment for the band. But not before an album release at HMV’s flagship Belfast store later in the year.
Focus and dedication continued to pay off in 2015. By Conquest Or Consent released a second music video in We Came To Bring The Fight before capturing support slots for luminaries like Chelsea Grin, Arnocorps, Heart of a Coward and Evil Scarecrow.
