About The Video: “Fallen Family” is a two minute twisted tale directed by the “anti-Disney” animator Jim Trainor.
The graphics complement the song’s distinct undertones of relationships within families. Trainor’s stark, choppy animation, initially all hand-drawn cells painstakingly traced with sharpies, dives into an enigmatic worldly familial symbolism with mysterious wryness.
The song itself is about failed Christmas gathering where family goodwill has been entirely replaced.
