Monique Sherrell Brown
Monique started her musical career under the direction of the late Collette Black who was well respected in NYC’s Cabaret community. She studied vocals under the guidance of Eadie Scott, Luca Chesney, Elizabeth Russo and Craig Derry.
While she continued to grace the stages of Don’t Tell Mama, 53 Below and Laurie Beechman Theater, she joined a Country/Blues band as a backup singer which opened a new and exciting world for her to explore. She now invests her energies into bringing the musical community a “flavor” of her own. Her current release, the single “Wishing You the Best” is nominated for LDM’S 2019 Blues/Jazz Award & available on Bongo Boys Records – Homestead Volume Three.
