Shinigami
死神, “death god” or “death spirit”
Shinigami were formed at the end of 2014 when guitarist Rutger van Noordenburg approached former Orphanage vocalist George Oosthoek with the idea to join forces in a new melodic but brutal metal band. Soon the other members were found in guitarist Jory Hogeveen, drummer Daan Klemann and bass player/vocalist Luciano Sirigu. The fact that the band was built from the scraps of many acclaimed metal bands like Orphanage, Detonation, Silicon Head, Pleurisy, Grindpad, Bleeding Gods, Tribal Spirits, Hordearii, Cavitation and Bloodphemy promises something awesome for the near metal future.
The band released their first EP “The Arcane Order” in 2016, toured Japan in early 2017 and are busy writing new material for their debut album.
