Wordplay – “Taxi Song” Splintered Wood Records

Wordplay

Manitoulin busker turned Seneca College graduate of the Independent Music Production program & local punk band (sporadically jamming as a punkoustic pioneer). Appearing first in Toronto in 2011 to promote grunge-rock duo Infamous Box with then music partner, Sockhead, Kris Rose of Wordplay shaped her future from years of security-guard doomed busking, collaboration, guest and session vocal spots and indie show support. After writing lyrics and/or performing for various band releases and projects, Kris moved in 2016 from her infested North York apartment to downtown Toronto with intent to pursue the Kris Rose Music Project, which shortly became ‘Wordplay’ during the recording & mixing of April 2017 release ‘Signs of Intoxication’ split with GTA punk rockers Reminder (Splintered Wood Records).
Thanks to Dvii music, Corner Lot Collective, Splintered Wood Records, and all the bands/acts sharing the Canadian indie music scene.
