Artist Bio: War Gardens is a three-piece rock n roll band from Sacramento, California. The formation and idea of War Gardens started in the fall of 2017 while Chris Sabatoni and Bear Williams were going through the teacher credentialing program at California State University, Sacramento. The two knew one another prior to going into the program as they are both long-time musicians (over twenty years) in the local Sacramento punk rock scene. Chris and Bear thought it would be fun to put a project together and enlisted longtime friend and fellow veteran of the Sacramento scene, Ryan Reliable, to join on bass. Songs were constructed in May of 2018 and the first EP, known as the ‘Brick Wall’ EP, came out in June. Shows were played throughout the summer to promote the EP. During the fall of 2018, the band laid low to put together more material for a follow up EP. The ‘Geist’ EP was released on 12/26/18 and has a heavier sound than ‘Brick Wall’.
Future plans for the band include playing more shows around the Sacramento and San Francisco area as well as continuing to write and put out more material.
