Artist Biography: “Tío Rico was formed by Scott (bass / vocals) and Ed (guitar / lead vocals) in late 2015 and joined by Matt (Drums) shortly after, they got together and started working on a few song ideas. Initially gravitating towards a sound that comprised of slow ska punk they recorded a self titled 5-track demo with the help of long term friend Duncan with one song featuring on the Død Incarnate Records sampler along side grind-core bands. In September 2016 they went to Pressure Drop Studios in Stockport and recorded their single “Mr. Big Shot” with Will Farley (Stay Clean Jolene / The Leif Ericsson) which was released through Horn & Hoof Records. Their last EP ‘Business and Pleasure’ was again recorded with Will Farley and released in July 2017, is shows the bands progression away from ska to a heavier punky grungy sound.”
