Them Old Crap – “Lean On Me” Broken Neck Records

Them Old Crap

The trio formed in 2013 by musicians from Londrina and Curitiba built a new way to present Bluegrass blending into their own energetic style of playing through the beautiful details in their songs.
With lyrics in Portuguese and English, the band released in 2015 their first album, “OLD MAN”, with 13 tracks, distributed by the German Label Broken Neck Records in Cd and vinyl. With three consecutive years of European touring, counting more than 100 concerts outside the country, they also performed with the American artists Bob Wayne and The Outlaw Carnies, Jayke Orvis, Bruno Esposito, and Freeborn Brothers Polish on Brazilian and European tours.
Musical influences range from Hillbilly, Bluegrass, Country Outlaw, Western to Post Punk, Gothic, Punk, and Gypsy music, wrapped in a very Brazilian way of composing and performing. Literary influences are also part of the band, such as Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, Álvares de Azevedo and Junqueira Freire.

After the great receptivity of the public and media (national and international) the album “Old Man”, 2015, THEM OLD CRAP has spent the last months preparing their new album “Ghost Gallery”. With the entrance of Marlon in the contra bass, Lucas Oliveira (guitar and voice) and Eduardo Ribeiro (banjo, mandolin and vocal) realized that it was the moment to produce a material that accompanied the new phase of the group.
The album was released accompanied by a European tour in 2017, counted with 15 tracks, recorded and produced at the 3em1 studio in Londrina, by Alexandre Bressan, and released by Broken Neck Records.
