Artist Biography: Rear Naked Choke was formed in 2009 in Abilene Texas. Though it all started when a few friends got together to just jam and have a little fun it soon became obvious that there was something special going on. It didn’t take long for the ideas to start flowing and songs began taking form. After a few member shuffles the band solidified and things really started to move forward for the band.
Through their own brand of Heavy Rock n Roll and high energy live performances they began gaining notice in the local music scene. That attention has gotten them the opportunities to play with National and Regional bands such as Texas Hippy Coalition, Messer, Hounds of Jezebel and more. They recently released their first single “Better Man” to iTunes and other online retailers and it has also been getting radio airplay, they are in the process of recording their first full album.
While RNC has their own style and sound and don’t attempt to emulate or fit into a mold, fans of music in the vein of Metallica, Pantera, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Down etc… will more than likely enjoy the music of Rear Naked Choke.

About the Video: The song “Suicide Betsy” is about a Motorcycle so we wanted to make sure that even in the Lyric Video that we have that represented.
Once we started talking with the director of the vid he really wanted to use the background art of the Album in the video, so we came up with the idea of using our mascot HD as in there as well kinda riding through this Post Apocalyptic landscape. It’s nothing too serious but it keeps things visually interesting as the lyrics pop up.
