Artist Biography: “THE SUNBURST is a four-piece Alternative Metal band from Italy, that mixes elements of Post-Grunge and Progressive Rock with tasty heavy riffing and catchy melodies. After the release of their debut album ‘Tear Off the Darkness’ in 2014, with music critics praising the maturity of the songwriting and underlining the great overall musicianship of the band, they reached some important goals touring the country in order to promote their work, playing venues and open-air festivals, sharing the stage with great national and international acts such as Primal Fear (GER), Kutso, Alteria, Punkreas and more, eventually ending up opening for former Ramones drummer Richie Ramone (USA) in his first gig in Rome. The band also embarks on a first European headlining tour touching different countries like Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania gaining a great response from the public and strengthening the reputation of excellent live act while expanding an always growing International fanbase. In 2017 the band begins the recording process for their sophomore release and find the time to pay homage to the late Jeff Buckley, performing an incredible rocking version of his classic song “Eternal Life”.The band sign a deal with Volcano Records for the release of the new album ‘Resilience & Captivity’, out on March 2nd of 2018.”
